Joe Balcom

Joe Balcom has drawn and sketched for most of his life, but only began painting and carving in 2001. His work is colorful and often incorporates humor. Traveling throughout the Maritimes for work, Joe was inspired by the rural communities he would visit. Discovered by a folk art collector from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Joe was encouraged to put on a solo exhibition, which was met with much praise and many sales. His work is found in many homes across Canada and abroad.
