Mary Martin

Mary was born in Berwick, NS.  At a young age, she moved to Ontario where she met and married her husband, Tibby. In 1967, she and her husband moved back to the south shore of Nova Scotia to raise their family. Mary has always been creative, making crafts, sewing and quilting. While visiting the Lunenburg Folk Art Festival with Tibby (who is a carver and painter) and seeing all the folk art, Mary was inspired to try her own hand at it. It was so enjoyable that she entered her art in 2007 and did very well. They are now working on setting up shop in their new home in New Brunswick. Mary loves to walk along the beach collecting driftwood, traveling, doing photograpy and talking to other folk artists and seeing their art.
